An insight into Yambo Photography

Blogs, a way to tell a story through short pieces of text. I never imagined I would one day find myself doing one, but times have changed and some things are almost inevitable in this day and age.

Before I go any further, allow me to introduce myself. Robert Yambo, an engineer by profession, an aviation enthusiast from childhood, a lover of photography and  a christian by faith. These are the basic things that define my fiber of existence.

I survived the twitter craze which some people find it hard to believe how it is that am not on twitter. Snap chat has not been my cup of tea either and a host of other popular social media platforms.

I have therefore decided to take on blogging with a stride; in particular leaning more on photography  hopping to achieve a collection of beautiful stories as most, if not all, what I will do here is based on photography. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So indulge with me, tell me what you will be seeing in all these photos; a story, an idea, a concept, an inspiration through your comments.

The first Camera I ever owned I bought when I was twelve years old after selling some rabbits and onions I reared and grew in a section of my mothers garden in the beautiful highlands of Kericho in  Kenya where both my dad and mum worked for many a decade. It cost me Ksh 999 (definitely not the one in the picture to the left 😏)  and i still have it to date a souvenir. This is when discovered that I had a talent in photography that I wold like to nurture at some point in time. Before i go much further and start writing an autobiography 😃, I will stop at that for now. As they say, the rest is history.

From time in memorial, artists have told stories through immaculate paintings passed down from generation to generation. For photographers of our day and age, we aim to achieve something similar, capture moments that will tell stories for a lifetime and beyond.

Join me, let us journey together.
